Even before I make the first line with the pen, I have already thought about what I am going to create months ahead of time.

Thinking about what I am going to create takes far longer than actually creating it. My work reflects a combination of where I have been and also where I would like to be.

Once, I have an idea of what to create I sketch it out in pencil.

As soon as, the original is sketched out, the meticulous process of building up thousands of fine pen lines begins.

The pen and ink process is finished when I go in with pastels and add color.
